Creating sublimation products (auto-panel styles)

1) LOG IN TO YOUR THROUGH6 THROUGH6 PORTAL

2) NAVIGATE TO THE CREATE PAGE

3) START CREATING YOUR NEW SUBLIMATION PRODUCT

If the product does not include the small Product Designer icon, it will mean you must design and upload the file via Adobe Illustrator. Please follow the instructions in the dialogue box to ensure your artwork uploads correctly (otherwise, it might be pushed to your Missing Art queue!).

Click “Download Template” to download the base template ( Note: this template will not have layered individual size templates, you only need to upload one file for all your sizes!).

4) USE ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR TO PLACE YOUR ARTWORK

Open the base template in Adobe Illustrator. Do not change anything on the base template layout.

Turn on “INFO” layer to learn more about template panels and to mask the panels.

Remember to have your “BASE” layer turned on.

Repeat for all panels.

  • Color Model: RGB (this saves the color as represented in the original artwork).
  • Quality: 10 (Maximum).
  • Compression Method: Baseline (Standard).
  • D: Medium (150 ppi).
  • E: Anti-alising: Type Oprimized (Hinted).
  • D: Leave “Embed ICC Profile” unchecked.

To export, click “OK”.

TIP: Once you have exported your file, the name of your design file will have “_BASE” at the end. This is a good way to check if you have exported the file correctly, as it will only appear if you have checked “Use Artboard” when exporting.

6) FINISH CREATING YOUR SUBLIMATION PRODUCT

Return to your Through6 Portal, where you began creating your product and upload your file on Step 3 pictured above, making sue to use "_BASE” at the end of the file name.

TIP: you can drag and drop your file into the upload box shown below.

Once the file completely uploads you may click "Next" to move finish your product.

7) SYNC TO ECOMMERCE IF CONNECTED

You can now link your product to Shopify, or another eCommerce engine, by adding some basic information in the fields shown below and leaving SYNC TO SHOPIFY checked before clicking “PROCEED”.

If you want to add your product to Shopify manually, you can click simply uncheck the SYNC TO SHOPIFY radial, and click "PROCEED”.

To add your product to Shopify manually, you will need to input the SKU that is provided on your Through6 Portal product page, to your Shopify product page. Simply copy and paste the SKU from your Through6 product page to your Shopify product page. Alternatively, you can export your SKUs to an excel document using the "export to excel" feature on your Through6 Portal, and import those SKUs to your Shopify product listing(s).

7) CONFIRM FILES AND SKUS

You will be able to view the SKUs for each size in the “Product Variants” section shown below.

Once complete, your product view will show:

  • A preview of your art panel.
  • The size templates generated.

You will be able to export your SKUs into an excel spreadsheet, re-upload design files, delete your product and create a new product from this window.

You can always come back to this your Product View page by using the view icon (magnifying glass) on the My Products page.
